Guide your hopper across busy highways, rivers, and train tracks in Crossy Road, available to play directly in your web browser for free.
Crossy Road unblocked: play Crossy Road online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
Crossy Road is an endless isometric arcade hopper developed by Hipster Whale that takes the classic road-crossing formula and reimagines it as a rapid, high-stakes distance challenge. You start on a patch of grass and must navigate a character forward across an endlessly generating landscape packed with multi-lane highways, turbulent rivers, and high-speed railway tracks.
The pace is dictated entirely by your rhythm. Unlike traditional runners where forward momentum is automatic and relentless, Crossy Road lets you pause on safe patches of turf to read incoming traffic patterns. However, you cannot stand still forever: lingering too long prompts a hawk to dive from above and snatch your mascot, forcing a steady forward tempo.
Controlling your character is simple, but surviving requires sharp spatial awareness and exact timing:
Each terrain type presents unique hazards. Roads feature cars and trucks moving at varying speeds across multiple lanes. Railroad tracks feature flashing red lights and warning bells that signal an approaching high-speed train. Rivers require you to hop onto floating logs and lily pads without slipping into the water or drifting off-screen.
If you enjoy the focus and split-second decision making of Crossy Road, other titles on G-Switch offer great companion experiences. Tunnel Rush and Slope Tunnel push your reflexes with fast-paced obstacle avoidance in three dimensions. For players who enjoy managing continuous hops and jumps, Dino Run and Rodeo Stampede Savannah combine rhythm and creature navigation with similar pick-up-and-play appeal.
Crossy Road runs in an ordinary browser tab from gswitch.org, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
Your objective is to hop as far forward as possible across endless roads, waterways, and train tracks without getting hit by vehicles, drowning, or being caught by the eagle.
Use the arrow keys or WASD on your keyboard to hop forward, backward, left, and right. On touchscreen devices, tap to hop forward or swipe in the direction you want to move.
The screen continuously scrolls forward. If you hesitate for too long in one spot or retreat too far backward, a predatory hawk sweeps across the map and ends your run immediately.
No download or installation is required. Crossy Road runs entirely inside modern desktop and mobile browsers with instant startup.
